A amrican has robbed a bank for just $1 to receive free healthcare while in prison.

James Richard Verone, who is charged with the $1 robbery of a RBC Bank in North Carolina, has never been in trouble with the law before.
A former Coca-Cola truck driver who claims he has never been in trouble with the law, has robbed a bank for just $1 to receive free healthcare while in prison.
James Richard Verone, who is charged with the $1 robbery of a RBC Bank in North Carolina, has never been in trouble with the law before.
Mr Verone, who was unemployed and facing several health problems, walked into the bank and handed the bank teller a note that read: This is a bank robbery. Please give me $1.
He then sat in the bank waiting for the police to arrive.
The 59-year-old, who had no health insurance, has a growth on his chest, two ruptured disks and a problem with his left foot, said he committed the robbery because he believed prison was the best place he could go to for medical attention.
"I'm sort of a logical person and that was my logic. That is what I came up with," he said.
"I wanted to make it known that this wasn't for monetary reasons but for medical reasons."
Mr Verone, who did not use a weapon during his robbery, said he hopes he is sentenced to three years in prison so he continues receiving healthcare.
"If it is called manipulation, then out of necessity because I need medical care, I guess I am manipulating the courts to get medical care."

some dangerous words women usually say

 1) Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up。 2) Five Minutes
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house。 3) Nothing
This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine。
       4) Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
      5) Loud Sigh
This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing
  6) That’s Okay
This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake。
  7) Thanks
A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’)。
  8 ) Whatever
Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!
  9) Don’t worry about it, I got it
Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.

sixth sense really exists

It has long been known as ESP, Spider Sense, or the ability to see things before they happen.

But now scientists have proved that humans really do have a sixth sense - that lets them detect magnetic fields.

Tests have shown that mankind may have the same innatesense of Earth’s magnetic field that has long been proved to exist in animals.

By putting a protein from the human retinainto fruit flies, researchers noticed that the insect modified its flight path just as if its eye had not been altered.

This suggests that the 'sixth sense' does exist in humans but we might not be aware of it.

Animals use such sight to navigatelong distances during migration or, in the case of birds, to ‘see’ where they are going.

The complex tests involved examining the process by which light goes through a bird’s eye, which has intriguedthe scientific community for more than 30 years.

In the late 1970s, the physicist Klaus Schulten concluded that birds navigate by relying on geomagnetically sensitive biochemical reactions in their eyes.

Tests have shown that the special cells in the eye carry out this function using the protein cryptochrome.

Professor Reppert’s team used wild fruit flies and replaced their version of cryptochrome with the human equivalent then put them in a mazewith each wing wrapped in a metal coil.

They then sent a current through it so that the coil was magnetised in a way which mimicked Earth’s electromagnetic field.

The flies responded in exactly the same way as if they had their own cryptochrome, by either avoiding the magnetic fields or moving towards them if the researchers had placed sugar nearby.

The new study was published in the journal Nature Communications.

The most popular food in the world

A global survey by Oxfam saw pasta narrowly top the list thanks to its growing popularity in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Oxfam said the survey of eating habits in 17 countries shows how Western diets have spread across the world.

Although national dishes are still popular - such as paella in Spain and schnitzel in Germany - pizza and pasta are now the favourite foods of many, with more than half of the countries (nine out of 17) listing one or both in their top three foods.

The exceptions were Tanzania, Russia, Philippines, Pakistan, Mexico, Kenya, India and Ghana.

But as a food with around 600 different varieties including popular exports like penne and tagliatelle, pasta reigns supreme thanks to its versatility and specialities.

Pasta ranked as the second most popular food in the UK, behind steak and ahead of chicken.

Curry, thought by many to be one of the most popular cuisines in Britain, ranked fourth.

The survey also highlighted the worldwide popularity for Asian food - Chinese was the second-most popular in Mexico while sushi made the top ten in five countries including the USA and South Africa.

There were some surprising results as well, with sweet-toothed Australia naming chocolate as its favourite food.

And despite its worldwide dominance in the fast food market for decades, McDonald's ranked a lowly 113 in the list.

Its rival KFC did not fare much better, coming in at 107.

The opinion poll also revealed that the cost of food is a worldwide worry with two thirds saying it is one of their top food concerns.

More than half of the people questioned globally (54 per cent) said they are not eating the same food they did two years ago, with two fifths (39 per cent) of those saying it was because food was becoming more expensive.

The news comes despite debate as to whether pasta is good for you at all, with conflicting diet advice suggesting it can help you both lose weight or pile on the pounds.

Pasta is widely thought to have originated from Arab invaders who conquered Sicily in the eight century fed by slow-release carbohydrates.

The food they ate which originated from dried noodle was made from durum wheat - the staple ingredient which must now be used in all dried pasta by Italian law.

The oldest prisoner in the world was released

Brij Bihari Pandey, 108, is assisted by relatives following his release from the Gorakhpur district prison in Gorakhpur on Friday。
Prison authorities in India have released the country's oldest inmate, 108-year-old Brij Bihari Pandey, who was convicted of a murder he committed at the age of 84, officials said Saturday。
Pandey, a Hindu priest, was freed on Friday by a court in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh on humanitarian grounds as prison officials were finding it difficult to provide regular medical treatment to the "oldest prisoner in the history of Indian prisons."
"It was getting difficult to take care of a 108-year-old prisoner. We moved an application for his release and the court accepted it," said S.K. Sharma, superintendent of Gorakhpur Jail, 300 kilometres (190 miles) from the state capital Lucknow。
Sharma said the release was based on humanitarian grounds。
At the ripe old age of 84, Pandey along with 15 others, many of them his nephews and family members, killed four people over the inheritance of a Hindu religious institution。
In 2009, he was convicted and sent to Gorakhpur Jail but the weak and infirm centenarian convict had to be frequently rushed to hospital and was mostly bed-ridden。
Pandey expressed delight over his release Friday by smiling and giving a warm hug to his fellow inmates, who in turn garlanded him。
Jail officials said he received the garland with a broad smile and said, "God is great. Thank you."

amazing india herb

It's a herb you may have used to add flavour to your curries.
But fenugreek can also spice up your sex life, a study suggests.
Men taking it can boost their sex drive by at least a quarter, researchers found.

Sixty healthy men aged between 25 and 52 took an extract of the herb twice a day for six weeks.

Their libido levels were monitored using a scoring system to assess any changes after three and six weeks.

Within six weeks, their scores had soared by an average of 16.1 to 20.6 – a 28 per cent rise.

Meanwhile, another group of men taking dummy pills saw their scores fall.
Fenugreek seeds contain compounds called saponins which are thought to stimulate production of male sex hormones including testosterone.
  。
The tests were carried out by researchers from the Centre for Integrative Clinical and Molecular Medicine in Brisbane, Australia, who said: ‘This study has demonstrated that there was significant improvement in sexual function and performance following treatment.’

Fenugreek is a bean-like plant that grows throughout Asia and features widely in Indian cooking.

Its leaves and seeds have been used to treat fever since the time of the ancient Egyptians.

horrific Cigarette labels

Rotting teeth and gums. Diseased lungs. A sewn-up corpse of a smoker. Cigarette smoke coming out of the tracheotomyhole in a man's neck.

Cigarette packs in the US will have to carry these macabreimages in nine new warning labels that are part of a campaign by the Food and Drug Administration to use fear and disgust to discourage Americans from lighting up.

The labels, announced on Tuesday, represent the biggest change in cigarette packs in the US in 25 years.
At a time when the drop in the nation's smoking rate has come to a standstill, the government is hoping the in-your-facelabels will go further than the current surgeon generalwarnings toward curbing tobacco use, which is responsible for about 443,000 deaths a year in the US.

These labels are frank, honest and powerful depictions of the health risks of smoking," Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement.

The FDA estimates the labels will cut the number of smokers by 213,000 in 2013, with smaller additional reductions through 2031.
